Cold Brew Production Associate Position

As the Cold Brew Production Associate, you will work closely with our production team to ensure the execution of our high standards of cold brew coffee consistency, flavor development, and packaging.  This includes preparing roasted coffee for cold brewing, quality control, brewing equipment maintenance, coffee keg and container cleaning, inventory, communication and teamwork.  This position will report to the wholesale/production operations manager.

Cold Brewing – Perform all operations involved in the production of cold brew coffee daily or as-needed to sustain required inventory levels.  Clean and sanitize all empty keg / coffee containers returned to the production facility.

Production Team Assistance – Time permitting and second to cold brewing duties, assist the other the wholesale/production team members with duties including: packaging coffee products, maintaining/organizing inventory/supplies, ensuring quality control, and other miscellaneous tasks.

Organization – All work must be performed efficiently and in an organized fashion, with critical attention to quality, consistency, and cleanliness.  Development of and adherence to production procedures will be critical.

Communication – Maintain a high standard of professionalism and communication with the production team. Ability to give and receive feedback when needed, provide positive support for the production team.

Teamwork – Contribute to the team with a positive outlook and by showing the production team kindness, knowledge, and excitement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be able to taste and cup cold brew coffee black (with no sugar, creamer, or additives)
  • High School Graduate or equivalent; Strong learner
  • Ability to lift 50lb or more to chest level and perform repetitive, range of motion activities
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work flow to meet deadlines
  • Good organizational skills, problem solving ability, and intuitive resourcefulness
  • Strong initiative, leadership skills, and ability to self- manage, while remaining open to constructive feedback
  • Desire and willingness to continually expand coffee and brewing knowledge
  • Interest and dedication toward ongoing skill development

 

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in brewery production operations or a food manufacturing facility
  • Understanding of basic equipment functionality and repair
